Work Role Functioning Questionnaire--Canadian French Version

The Work Role Functioning Questionnaire--Canadian French Version (WRFQ-CF; Durand et al., 2004) was developed based on two similar questionnaires, Work Limitation Questionnaire (WLQ; Lerner et al., 2001) and the Work Limitation-26 (WL-26; Amick et al., 2000). The WRFQ measures the impact of any chronic health problem on work disability in a Canadian French context. Following a five-step process for semantic and conceptual equivalence and forward and back-translation of items, a final 27 items were developed. Items focus on work demands from the worker's perspective across five scales: Work Scheduling Demands, Physical Demands, Mental Demands, Social Demands and Output Demands (Amick et al., 2000). The sample was comprised of workers (n = 40) with a musculoskeletal disorder (MSD). Psychometric evaluation of the questionnaire indicated very good internal consistency for a majority of the scales and confirmation of content and construct validity.
